Ekue Agbenou

Kingdom men

I’m Ekue Agbenou and I lead the Men’s Class on Sunday mornings at 9:30AM. Our class is open for all men ages 18 and up.

We focus on:

  • Discerning Gods will for our lives as Christian men

  • Learning to be Godly husbands and fathers.

  • Effectively searching God’s word to see how He is calling us to be a leader for our families, church, and community.

We have a dedicated time during class each week to pray for specific needs.

Iron men

As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17 We are a group of men of a certain age who meet every Sunday at 9:30AM to study the Word of God. As we age, we realize the importance of having godly friends and influences in our life. We seek to apply the Scriptures to our everyday lives and find ways to impact our church and community through our testimony. We take time each week to share our needs and concerns with one another and then lift those needs up in prayer.

Sister to sister

Welcome to our Sister to Sister Women’s Ministry. It is our desire to love God with all our heart, to live for Him each day, to seek His will for our lives through prayer and the study of His word, to minister, in His name, to the needs around us as He gives opportunity, and to love others as He has loved us. We meet every Sunday at 9:30AM in the fellowship hall to dig into God’s Word and learn to practically apply to our life the principles set forth in Scripture. We host various events throughout the year to strengthen, encourage, and bless the women of our church and our community. Our ministry theme verses are Isaiah 61:1-4. We look forward to ministering to you and with you at Church at Winder.

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor. They will rebuild the ancient ruins and restore the places long devastated; they will renew the ruined cities that have been devastated for generations. Isaiah 61:1-4 (NIV)

Joe Smallidge

adult class

Hi, my name is Joe. I teach the Adult Life School class. We are open to both single adults and couples who are seeking to deepen their understanding of Scripture. Our class is suitable for those who have some knowledge of the Bible but are often asking, “What does it mean?” By digging into Scripture through the study of the original language and looking at the context, we attempt to shed Biblical light on various topics and issues. In the past, we have covered topics such as: the meaning of covenant in the Old and New Testament, the Book of Revelation and prophecy, assurance of salvation, and spiritual growth and maturity. We use the Bible as our guide and allow time for discussion and questions. If you are looking for an open, informal class to learn more about God’s Word, please join us.
